Why check your SSL certificate

The SSL certificate is what enables the HTTPS connection between the browser and your site. When it's valid, visitors see the padlock in the address bar. When it expires or is misconfigured, the browser shows a "Not Secure" warning that scares users and hurts your Google ranking.

Our tool verifies in real time the certificate validity, expiration date, issuer (Certificate Authority), certified domain, and whether the site is actually reachable via HTTPS. If the certificate is about to expire (less than 30 days), you get an explicit warning.

Let's Encrypt certificates, used by most sites, last 90 days and renew automatically. But automatic renewal can fail silently. Checking periodically prevents surprises. For continuous monitoring, TurboHost Monitoring checks SSL status every 60 seconds and alerts you before expiration.
